Greek Dancers of the Monterey Peninsula
Nepenthe, The Anti-Performance
![]()
Every June, the Greek Dancers of the Monterey Peninsula make the trek down the Big Sur coastline to the fabulous Nepenthe restaurant where they eat lunch, and dance away the afternoon on the outside patio overlooking the spectacular California coastline. This is not a performance per se as no costumes are worn and everyone is invited to dance from beginners to Greek dancers of many years past.
Mary and Roger lead the first, double line portion of Karagouna.
Mary leads the final portion of Karagouna.
Zorba (wearing a Utilikilt) calls for 3 turns forward while leading an incredably long line of Tsamiko.
