Advanced Hassapiko Variations.
Basic Dance
Count for Basic: 7 beats per pattern.
Shoulder hold, arms stretched straight.
Two to four dancers in a group; leader is on the R end of the line. Leader calls the variations and sets the mood and tempo.Weight on R foot.

Left, tap, lift:
Step forward on L foot (weight on L), tap R foot by L heel, lift R leg up with bent knee.S,S:
Behind, behind: Step back on R foot, step back on L foot (weight on L); R leg drifts in front of L, knee bent.Q,Q,S:
Right, left, right:
Step forward & slightly to the right on R foot, step forward on L foot, step back on R foot (weight on R).S:
Brush: Brush L foot by swinging L leg into air as if kicking a rock.--- Repeat....
Basic Dance Variations
The names of these variations are almost always peculiar to a particular group of dancers. In other words, these are our names for these variations. Other groups may, or may not, use the same names! Or they might even use these names for other variations!
All Basic variations begin after the final Brush (of the proceeding variation or basic step), with weight on R foot.

Turn Around

Left, tap, lift
3 to L (Cross L over R and "walk" on heel of L three steps to the left)
3 to R (Ditto, only reverse)
2 to L (Two steps this time)

1-and-1: cross R over left, then L over R
