"How-to" Introductory Materials.
IKARIOTIKO I
Choreographed version of traditional dance from Ikaria, taught by Maxine Myer.
Referred to as "Ikariotiko I" because was first version of Ikariotiko taught.
Music: "Presenting Folk and Popular Dance of Greece Today" record, NINA N-2500Arms relaxed with bent elbows (W hold)

Part I:
Arms go down, then swing up (shoulder height) and down with alternate beats
R, L, R, swing L
L, swing R
R, L, R, swing L
L, swing R
Side steps R, L, R, L
Part II:
Arms out straight forward
Pas de bas to the right
Pas de bas to the left
Into circle: R, hop, L, hop
Out of circle: R, hop, L, hop
Pas de bas to the right
L step, R stamp
Repeat 3 times
Part III:
Arms down at sides
While hopping on R, swing L around
Hop on R, then L, R (in place)
L, R, L forward
R, L backward
Bounce, bounce in place
Repeat 4 times
Part IV: similar to Part I
Arms down, then swing up (shoulder height) and down with alternate beats
